Kurt Luther
Kurt Luther is an associate professor of computer science at Virginia Tech, a founding faculty member at the Virginia Tech Institute for Advanced Computing, and director of Virginia Tech’s Crowd Intelligence Lab. He is also the associate director for research in the Center for Human-Computer Interaction, a faculty affiliate of the National Security Institute and Department of History, and an adjunct professor at Virginia Military Institute.
Luther’s research interests include human-computer interaction, human-AI collaboration, crowdsourcing, social computing, and digital humanities. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and he interned at IBM Research, Microsoft Research, and YouTube/Google.
